Skymount™ Evolution is a patent pending mounting device that simplifies the installation of wireless smoke detectors up onto purlins and structural beams in inaccessible locations.
Why Skymount™ Evolution?
Unlike existing practices, the Skymount™ Evolution enables the installation of wireless smoke detectors from ground level, removing the need for scissor lifts and licensed ‘Working From Heights’ (“WFH”) labourers. This significantly reduces the cost of installation. Easy installation of wireless smoke detectors is achieved.
The product
Skymount™ is a mounting system that includes a Mount and an Installation Tool. The Mount is designed to accommodate a wide variety of wireless smoke alarm.
Configured with a magnetic core, the Skymount ™can magnetically lock onto ferrous surfaces where ceiling voids exist. This enables a smoke detector attached to the Mount to be secured to a ferrous beam simply by raising the Mount up to the ferrous beam using the Installation Tool.
Skymount™ is rated to hold up to 10kg, which is well in excess of the weight of any wireless smoke alarm.
